The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence – The Abbey of St. Joan get the honor of carrying the PRIDE Flag once again at this year’s Pride Parade! And we want you to join us! The flag is really big and we need all the folks we can get to help us. All genders, ages, creeds, races, orientations and abilities are welcome! Bring the whole family!
The one catch: there is a dress code. All walkers/volunteers must wear an official SPI-AOSJ T-shirt or tank top to signify you are with our contingent. Each shirt/tank is $10.
Shirts are available for reservation by contacting Sister Metro at metro@theabbey.org. The shirts will be available to be picked up May 27th at our annual Craptacular Rummage Sale at All Pilgrims Church – 500 Broadway E. – Seattle, WA.
Safety tips: Wear plenty of sunscreen, bring bottled water, bring a snack and wear sensible shoes!
…-Anyone in the Seattle area has superfluous clothing, books, CDs, small appliances, kitchenware, bedding, tchotchkes, bangles, baubles, and beads you’d like to divest yourself of, we’ll take it! For what is a Craptacular without lots and lots of fabulous crap?
-All donated items must be in good working order, clean, and ideally in plastic bags for storage. (NO large appliances like Television sets.)
-It would be best if you have a means of transporting your items to All Pilgrim’s church, but if needed, we can supply transportation.
-Please email Sr. Castrata at srcastrata@yahoo.com to make arrangements with us for receiving said crap. Please do NOT contact All Pilgrim’s directly.
Many thanks in advance, and see you at the Craptacular June 27, All Pilgrim’s Church on Broadway, Capitol Hill, 9 am- 9 pm, during the Pride Saturday festivities- where you can buy all NEW crap!

This time, we’ll venture back to the Kit-Kat Club and watch Cabaret, the 1972 Bob Fosse film with Liza Minelli, Michael York, and the recently out Joel Grey.
Let’s rediscover why the film won 8 Oscars that year!
This is a free event, so come on down, and pull up a chair.
The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will be on hand to spread some holiday joy and help you find that perfect tree to take home and decorate! All proceeds benefit Seattle Area Support Groups. The SASG tree lot is open 9 to 9 daily through December 23rd.
