Pillow Fight

What happens when you ask your friends to stay up way past their bedtimes and come party in their PJs? We decided to find out by hosting the Pillow Fight Pajama Party at the Cuff Complex and invited YOU to join us.

This was a blast of an event that brought together the community to raise funds (and pillows!) for the Orion Center.  The evening’s festivities included a 50/50 raffle, drawings for raffle prizes, a hopping dance floor, and even a coat/clothes check where people could leave their street clothes to change into their comfy jammies and PAR-TAY!

Throughout the night, hundreds of dollars were raised for the Center, as well as 34 brand-new pillows, which went to the 7 residences in the YouthCare network. The Orion Center provides many wonderful services to homeless youth in the Seattle area, including a drop-in program complete with showers, laundry facilities and meals, and is a part of the YouthCare Network, which provides case management, educational services, residence programs, and more check them out at Youth Care.

Nuns of Steel III

We work hard, We Play HARD!

And the Sisters did.

WOW! What a night. The sinners confessed their sins – The penance stations for redemption were full and the bottoms were wanting and willing to be paddled; or simply flogged by a Nun… All were definitely sore the next day.

The Sisters even went so far as to go that extra step to see how much change can be thrown in a bucket. Attached to a part of the body that doesn’t usually have hundreds of dollars of loose change collected.

Comment received from one of the patrons:

“I was finally able to loosen up and break though some barriers I have had, and was able to relax and let my guard down and not worry about what others think.”

Then they asked, when the Sisters were going to do it again.

It was truly a night of naughty frolicking.

The best part is, all proceeds are to benefit Strength Over Speed (SOS), a grassroots, all volunteer community based project whose mission is to help gay and bisexual men maintain recovery from crystal meth addiction.

Nunya Business

On Saturday May 9th 2009, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence held Nunya Business at CC Attle’s.  It was a military themed, strip/silent auction to raise money for the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network (SLDN).  The SLDN is fighting against the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy, and helping our friends and family who are serving in silence.

The event was an explosion of camouflage, and glitter.  Our models came on stage in some form of military regalia, and left the stage in a smile, knowing that they had done their part to raise some money.  If it wasn’t tied down, we auctioned it off…actually we even auctioned a pair of shoes that were tied down.  We also had a silent auction table with military gear.  We had everything from hats, to bags, to MRE’s, and even an MCU-2P gas mask.  There was also an adorable little teddy bear in desert camouflage, that found a new home.  If we could get money for it, it went to the highest bidder.

There was an amazing turnout that Saturday afternoon, and CC’s helped get people in the mood with some drink specials.  They donated the proceeds of those specials to the cause.  Thank you CC’s, we salute you.

We were able to raise over $1,000.  It is our way to say thank you to all of our friends and family, who are serving, or have served in silence.  We salute you as well.
